An Incidence With a Creature

An Incidence With a Creature

"Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever"

A couple of days ago, I was relaxing at the window with the coffee mug. Suddenly I saw a street dog in a critical situation. He was trying to rescue his neck from the plastic container. He got scared and he was running everywhere. I went out and started asking for help. Everybody told me that "this dog is in the same condition from last three days. We tried a lot to remove the plastic container from his neck but we couldn’t even catch him". As per the people's opinion, I realised that "call expertise" is the only solution to save the dog.

I started contacting to animal's NGO and volunteers via Google, Facebook and what's app groups. Within a few minutes I got a reference of Mr Badrinath, he is a volunteer and he is working for street dogs. I contacted him and sent a few photos of that dog for getting more clarity of the condition. In a few minutes, I received contact details of Mrs Puneeta Singh Khanna from him. As per Mr Bhandari, she is an expert in rescue operations. Immediately I contacted her and provided all the necessary information.

So many times I used to read the news on social media with the poor pictures of Aquatic Animal who died due to plastic. Such stories used to bother me, but I realised the severity of this issue due to this eye-opening incident. I felt restless to see him in the worst condition. He has not even had water from the last 3 days, was not even properly able to breathe from the last few days. Can we imagine ourselves without having water and food along with suffocation for a long time?

After a few hours, Puneeta ma'am came with her team and started her mission to help that dog. After her 3 hours of struggle, we achieved success. Then the dog happily started running and jumping everywhere. We felt like he was celebrating his freedom.

We are using plastic just for our comfort but we as a responsible citizen of this country will need to decide if we are ready to pay the price for this comfort. The price can be someone's precious life. We need to plan for some alternative of plastic to preserve the natural habitat of the world.

Hats off to Mr Badrinath sir and Mrs Puneeta Singh Khanna Ma'am for their valuable contribution towards animals. In today's era where nobody even thinks beyond themselves, these angles are working selflessly for all these loyal creatures.
Special thanks to Shweta Jain Ma'am for her valuable reference.

अनोखी माँ

There are many different levels involved in the adoption process that are often discussed — such as the adoptive parents and their families, the orphanage or Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA), CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority), and the CWC (Child Welfare Committee). But one emotional aspect that often remains overlooked is the person who takes care of the child after they arrive at the institution, until they are adopted by their new parents — and who then lovingly hands the child over to them. This person, who steps into the role of a mother after the infant arrives at the care home, who looks after the baby with utmost affection and dedication, forms a sweet bond with the child. And when the time comes to hand the baby over to the adoptive parents, she goes through an emotional turmoil. Through this poem, I’ve tried to express that unique and heartfelt journey. I would like to present this humble poetic attempt before you. सुंदरसी इस दुनिया में, जब भी घोर अँधेरा छाता नन...

Unanswered Questions! When Life gets hard, Try to remember, The life you complain about is only a dream to some people.  It was 2nd May 2019, I have received a call from Dr Pramila Ma'am at early in the morning. She said, " An old man is staying on a footpath at Kokne Chowk from last week, he is not able to sit, stand and walk. We are providing food and clothes. But, I don't think he will survive for a long in this critical situation." I met him and examined the situation. His name was Subhash Kamble( Name changed) and his age was 75. I asked him about his background and history, and I was shocked after listening to his story. He said, "I am in a bad phase now But, I am a well-educated person. I have completed a bachelors degree from Ferguson College. I have also worked with Kirloskar Group Of Company. A few years back, my body got paralyzed hence, I am on the bed from the last ten years. Situation matters!

Situation matters! Being a single mother is twice the work, twice the stress, and twice the tears...... A few days back, I received a call from Bhosari, Pune Police Station. API Mr Bhosle called me to solve a critical and sensitive case of a mother and child. A few hours ago a man came to the police station with a missing girl. He said, "This girl was running on the road. She was searching for her mother from an hour. Few men were moving around her. So, I was scared. As a responsible person of this society, I recognised that I have to submit her to the police station for her protection." He received appreciation from the PSI for his precious contribution towards society, And he went away. Police were trying to ask her questions to find out her identification. But, She was scared. She was not even ready to look at him. After some time, We got to know that she is living with her mother in a rented house. She is six years old, and her name is Shreya(name changed). I was sitting...
